Victoria Pendleton : British Cycling Beauty

Victoria Pendleton (Twitter) is a now retired British track cyclist who specialized in sprint disciplines. She actually just ended her career following a two medal performance at the 2012 London Olympics, much like Michael Phelps. She has represented Great Britain and England in international competition, winning nine world titles including a record six in the individual sprint competition. Pendleton is the reigning World Champion for the sprint, and a former Olympic, European and Commonwealth champion.

While she doesn’t get as much coverage here in the states, I equate Pendleton to Natalie Coughlin in U.S. Swimming. She was the best female in one of Britain’s premier Olympic sports over the past decade, and looks pretty fine too. She has also created a bit of a stir, by posing seductively for publications such as Esquire, FHM, and GQ. Despite the controversy over her photos, she is a big star of British sports, and her Olympic performance was even commemorated on a stamp :
