The Ladies of Memorial Day
Monday is Memorial Day, a holiday in the United States honoring those men and women who died while in the military service. The day was first known as Decoration Day and was enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War. It was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.
It’s great time to honor those who have served. And we hope you do honor military veterans in some fashion tomorrow, as they definitely deserve it. For a little lighter side, here are some women of the military and police forces from around the world. Yeah, many are not from the United States. And yeah, a few of them are probably models and not enlisted women. But we didn’t think you’d complain too much.
