Malin Akerman – Silk Spectre in Watchmen

Malin Akerman plays Silk Spectre in the highly anticipated Watchmen Movie which is now just a week away from hitting the theaters. She was previously featured in our Top Up and Coming Actresses of Hollywood List, at #6 (additional photos at that link). As covered in our Watchmen 101, Silk Spectre’s real name is Laurie Juspeczyk. She is the daughter of Sally Jupiter, the first Silk Spectre (played by Carla Gugino in the movie). Sally fought crime for years and wanted her daughter to follow in her footsteps. Not enthusiastic to the idea, she followed anyway, which would lead to her becoming romantically involved with Dr. Manhattan.
